Dear Mr. Batten,

The B&B Custom Builders Safe Haven Project has always expressed a desire to be considered “World Class or Best in Class” builder. To that end it has requested quarterly site safety reviews to enhance their efforts and as well as the efforts of their subcontractors. During the quarterly site safety visits multiple aspects of risk management have been discussed, suggestions made, and implemented. Below, I have noted some of the notable risk management efforts that B&B Custom Builders have implemented to be considered a “World Class” builder.

  • Ownership and Project Management commitment to a safe project
  • Risk Management
    • Construction contracts with Hold Harmless, Indemnification, and Additional Insured Language
    • Contractual insurance limits appropriate for the project
    • Site Controls
      • Fencing Surrounding Project
      • Trespassing Signs Posted
      • Weekend Controls (Removal of Attractive Nuisances)
      • First Aid Station
      • Transfer practices that exceeds expectations
  • Development of a Corporate Safety Manual
  • Protocols to review subcontractor compliance with MIOSHA Regulations.
  • Protocols to address non-compliant subcontractor to site and MIOSHA regulations.

These efforts have been noted via discussions with our field sales rep., underwriter, and your agent.

Thanks and continue to implement practices that will enable B&B Custom Homes to be a “World Class” builder.

Continued Success,
